Christ is The Reason for The Season

For most people, Christmas is a time for celebrations, a time to share gifts and be merry. As a result, most people missed the essence of the season or the main reason for the season. Even the name has been changed over time to several variants such as “Merry Xmas” “Happy Holidays” among others. However, in our conversation today, we will show you the real message of Christmas and the reason for the season.

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given, and

the government will be upon His shoulders. And He will be called

Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. – Isaiah 9:6

God didn’t send his Son to earth or to the cross for that matter for himself. Isaiah 9 states, “For a child has been born for us, a son given to us; authority rests upon his shoulders; and he is named Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” And we read in Luke 2, “Then an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified.  But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for see—I am bringing you good news of great joy for all the people:  to you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is the Messiah, the Lord.”

So to answer the question of why we celebrate, we must realize that the celebration is a celebration of the greatest gift “EVER” the gift of the Son of God, a celebration of redemption of humanity, a celebration of the restoration of life. God gave His Son so that we may live. God came to us in the flesh. The one who upheld everything became a baby and was nurtured by a virgin girl. He was born so he could be killed, His life from birth was the gift of our salvation, our reconnection back to the Father. As a result, we must realize that Christmas is the greatest show of love of “ALL TIME”. The creator coming to save His creation.

He sent His Son for the redemption of all of creation, so that we may gain salvation and everlasting life if we choose to believe in Jesus Christ. Jesus came to restore what was lost in the Garden so many years ago. All was lost, Jesus came to restore the broken relationship between God and us, he came so that we could find a way home. He came to take what we deserve, death, to rescue us from slavery, not from slavery in Egypt, but from the slavery of sin, death, Satan, and Hell.

Sometimes we get so busy during the holidays that we forget we have hope. We miss the point of Christmas, placing importance on gifts and parties—not Jesus. But this year, you and I don’t have to miss out. We can cling to His hope, revel in His love—spread it too—and experience the embrace of the Savior born in that simple manger.

The next time someone asks what Christmas is all about, tell them Christmas is about the Love of God expressed in the gift of Christ. Tell them about what God did for them and why he did it.

“For God so loved the world that he gave his

only Son so that everyone who believes in him may not

perish but may have eternal life.” – John 3:16.

There is no more judgment from God for you. Friend He Loves you, He loves you very much. He wants you to put your trust in Christ. God doesn’t force you to accept his Son, to accept the way out, or to accept his forgiveness. God invites you to receive what His Son has done. There is nothing for you to do but to receive. This is the most powerful receiving you will ever do. Because it will change your entire life. You will be filled with His joy, his mercy, His favour, and His blessings.

Remember the words of Jesus, “I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.” – Merry Christmas to you all.
